I had sent 10 ideas to the previous KSK govt from 1994 - 2004 and only one idea was implemented: Putting up traffic lights at the biggest round-about in Bayan Baru. I remembered there was much hoo-haa whether to remove the biggest round-about. I wrote in my idea of installing traffic lights around a round-about and some joked and laugh "Where got people put traffic lights in round-about one???" I challenged them and gave them some ideas of simply setting the right timing for the traffic lights. It worked, and everyone shut-up.

So much for the KSK team. Now I hope the LGE team will implement my second idea. I gave this idea to the previous KSK team and they had enough of me.

One of the prime reasons for traffic jams is SIMPLY this: Wrong timing of traffic lights along a stretch of road. Let's say there are 3 traffic lights along a stretch of road. When the first car drives off from the 1st traffic light and reaches the 2nd traffic light, the 2nd traffic light SHOULD BE GREEN. Damn it!!! So simple also cannot do. When the same car drives pass the Green 2nd traffic light, the 3rd traffic light SHOULD BE GREEN TOO. Damn it!!! SO BLOODY SIMPLE....

What do we have now? No synchrony. No synergy. No calibration. With this system of traffic light synchrony, you don't need any ZEBRA CROSSING, or PEDESTRIAN WALK-OVERS. Why???

Simply because at intervals, the whole stretch of road will have no traffic movement. Why??? C'mon, when the 1st traffic light is RED, the other two traffic lights must be RED.... So Damned simple.

That's why I think Penang is not the Silicon Island but the Silly-con Island or worse still Gillighan's Island. Dreaming... dreaming... dreaming...

Idea #3) We are living in the year 2008 and yet we still see traffic policemen at traffic lights waving their hands and controlling traffic during peak hours USING HAND SIGNALS. Hei, we are not living in the 1940s, 50s, or 60s.

Such archaic methods of helping in traffic control pose serious threats to the lives of policemen (who are already in endangered numbers).

How to solve this problem? So blooming stars simple. So Silly-con simple. So Gillighan simple.

Just USE THE STUPID TV REMOTE CONTROLLER. Get a IT/Electronics geek to fix a sensor on the traffic lights. The policemen on duty to control traffic just rest under a tree and use the REMOTE CONTROLLER. Why let his wife and his kids (if he is married) to worry about his safety.

SO DAMNED SIMPLE also cannot do. That's why I wonder at times from where these POLITICAL CREATURES come from. Maybe from some cave in Timbuktu. They have to think complex and not try to save money.

Idea #4)... aiyah... better save this one; less my time is wasted, or my typing is wasted.... Time is already 12.35am and nobody is awake to read what I am typing and worse still, I may give the impression that I am a smart alec.
